The Bank of Canada today published its 2025 schedule for policy interest rate announcements and the release of the quarterly Monetary Policy Report. It also reconfirmed the scheduled interest rate announcement dates for the remainder of this year.
In addition, the Bank published its schedule for the release of the Business Outlook Survey and the Canadian Survey of Consumer Expectations, and the Financial Stability Report.
The scheduled dates for the interest rate announcements for 2025 are as follows:
- Wednesday, January 29
- Wednesday, March 12
- Wednesday, April 16
- Wednesday, June 4
- Wednesday, July 30
- Wednesday, September 17
- Wednesday, October 29
- Wednesday, December 10
The scheduled dates for the interest rate announcements from September 2024 through December 2024 are reconfirmed as follows:
- Wednesday, September 4
- Wednesday, October 23
- Wednesday, December 11
All interest rate announcements will take place at 09:45 (ET), and the Monetary Policy Report will be published concurrently with the January, April, July and October rate announcements.
The scheduled dates for the release of the 2025 issues of the Business Outlook Survey and the Canadian Survey of Consumer Expectations are as follows:
- Monday, January 20
- Monday, April 7
- Monday, July 21
- Monday, October 20
All survey releases will take place at 10:30 (ET).
The scheduled date for the release of the Financial Stability Report is Thursday, May 8, at 10:00 (ET).
