There were no reported wildfires in B.C.’s Coastal region on Wednesday, as an evacuation order was lifted for Silverton in the Slocan Valley.
The latest B.C. Wildfire Service statistics show there are 336 active wildfires in B.C., but none in the Coastal region.
There are wildfires of note in the Cariboo, Kamloops and Southeast regions with 18 evacuation orders in place. In the past few days, there have been two new fires reported and 36 extinguished. Two hundred and fifty one wildfires have been declared out in the past week.

On Tuesday, the Regional District of Central Kootenay downgraded an evacuation order for the Village of Silverton to an alert, affecting 185 properties.
An evacuation alert issued for New Denver, five kilometres north of Silverton, was also rescinded.
The order and alert were related to the 30 square kilometre fire complex just east of Silverton that was started on July 18 by a lighting storm, which also sparked the other fires of concern further south of Slocan Lake.
An evacuation order for the Village of Slocan issued last Saturday remains in the place as the Mulvey and Ponderosa fires east and west of the village burn out of control.
The Argenta Creek wildfire at the top of Kootenay Lake is out of control and growing, with the area burned last reported at 150 square kilometres. The community of Argenta is under evacuation order.
Recent rainfall and cooler temperatures across the province has reduced fire behaviour, according to the wildfire service.
Campfire bans were lifted in the Prince George and Northwest fire regions on Tuesday.
